Community Non-Racing Membership

Cost:

$52 +GST for adults, $42 +GST for U17 (2025 rates)

Best for:

Recreational riders who want to participate in club events but don't plan to race competitively.

Coverage and Benefits:

  • Provides sport injury and liability insurance coverage during club events
  • Allows participation in Gran Fondos or recreational mass participation events sanctioned by ABA
  • Provides voting rights at the ABA's Annual General Meeting

Limitations:

  • Cannot race in AB Cup Series events in any discipline
  • Cannot participate in Provincial Championship events
  • Limited to three events per year with a day license purchase

Provincial Citizen License

Cost:

$110 +GST (2025 rate)

Best for:

Cyclists who want to compete in local Alberta races but don't plan to race outside the province.

Coverage and Benefits:

  • Allows racing in Road, Track, Mountain Bike, Gravel, and Cyclo-Cross Provincial Cup events in Alberta
  • Permits entry in lowest categories regardless of age or ability (Category 4 or "Citizen" categories in road races)
  • Can race in XC in the novice class
  • Can be used for Para cycling events in Alberta

UCI/CCA Racing License
