Rain throughout the day indicated that there would be am small field for tonight’s 40km 3 person team time trial. Since none of those who showed up were already in teams and since there was the threat of still more rain, it was decided to do a 20km ITT.
First off was Kristy Lee Mighton, in only her second time trial. At the turn she was on a good pace but unfortunately she flatted with just over 3 kilometers to go. She was fortunate to get a lift back to her vehicle as the lack of a spare tube would have meant a long walk in cleats.
Rhona Lettau was next off and rode a very uneventful race to finish in exactly 37 minutes. She was followed by Patrick Burnham on his fixed wheel who beat his previous best 20km time
